“Great value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

No frills hotel like stated. Clean rooms, nice staff, nuff said. The size of rooms differs, i stayed in one of the largest, liked that. For 29 quid, great deal. Is close to the m8 so i prefer rooms at the top.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor.

“Basic hotel, decent location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012 via mobile

Stayed at this hotel as it was cheeper than the George square one where I stayed last time.
I should have paid the extra and booked the George square one !
This one is ok but very dated in areas and needs a good update ! Room was basic and again could do with a refresh. The bathroom was clean on 1st glance but again needs a update and a good deep clean.
Staff were friendly and breakfast was as all Premmier inn hotels very good although they had most products ( no strawberry jam ? ) and it was all rather tacky, the juice machine looked like something from the 1970's also glasses were stacked on cheap plastic trays. The buffet area just didn't look appealing
( maybe I've been spoilt with other Premmier inn stays )
We spent a while in the bar but were confused as to how they advertise a wine of the month for Dec but it wasn't available ? We did buy another bottle but the poor batman didn't have a great knowledge of wines served me a cab sav then said the Shiraz was better and he is do that as the wine of the month ? Didn't get what I wanted but after the 2nd bottle we didn't mind !
Wouldn't stay at this one again unless we got a very good rate !
Must mention we were in room 902 and were awoken several times by a pub / club doing their glass bins between 4 and 5am ! Not good at all !

“Alright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

It is alright for a nights stay. Can be quite a walk to the city centre from the hotel, yet close to the railway station and some local restaurants and bars such as Wetherspoons. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and polite. In general, the hotel works well, lifts are quick and doors safe. The room was alright, yet the hotel is in need of some re-decoration.

There are two taps in the bathroom, one for hot and one for cold. The tub/shower was alright. The bed is comfy and there is tea and coffee making facilities in the room which is a nice touch.

So to sum it up:

If you wish to stay in the centre of Glasgow, pick another hotel.
If you are staying only for a short period of time, and price is more important than location, then this hotel will suit your needs.

Room Tip: Ask for a room high up if possible.

“Good stay...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

I stayed at this hotel for five nights and considering how cheap it was, I wasnt expecting much when I arrived. However, I was plesantly surprised. Many have complained about the size of the rooms, however, I found if you ask for a double room (doesn't cost hardly anything more) that the room size is substantially bigger.

The only problem I had with this hotel was that my room faced out on to the motorway, and for the first night I struggled to sleep because of the noise. However, I'm willing to put this down to the fact that I'm from the countryside and this was my first time staying in a city centre enviroment.

All the staff were helpful from the moment I arrived, and could give me easy to follow directions to the main shopping district and other points of interest.

Overall this is a very good hotel.

Room Tip: Perhaps if you want a quieter stay ask for a room which isnt westerly facing.

“Be aware of size of room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Room was TINY! The SMALLEST I've stayed in!
Couldn't hang up my clothes / Wardrobe jammed in beside a near non-existant dressing table.
Double bed jammed up against window /seemed to be a recess? Was certainly not fresh and modern. Wood was ancient! In fact, I had stayed in this hotel when it was 'The Charing Cross Towers' (this is still on the doorstep ), and can I say I don't think a lot has been done to the interior to bring it up to the standard which I have always had and expect from a Premier Inn.
So please check if you have any doubts. Can I say, that when I expressed my reservations on the standard of the hotel toReception, I received a refund as guarateed on the Premier Inn Advert.

Room Tip: Ask about size.
