My husband & I were fortunate enough to spend a delightful few days at the Kirklee in early September. We absolutely fell in love with it's quiet charm. The neighborhood is lovely and Doug and Rosemary are quite friendly and gracious. The decor is wonderful and the artwork in the lobby and throughout the hotel is splendid. Breakfast was served each morning in our room with a lovely view from our third floor window! The Kirklee is as lovely outside as in. As you walk through the gate and up the front walk you are greeted with colorful flowers of all kinds. The hotel is convenient to public transportation, great restaurants, and the University of Glasgow.

This past July, my husband and I stayed at The Kirklee. The owners, Douglas and Rosemary, are welcoming, hospitable and helpful. The hotel has an old world charm and is in a quiet, residential neighborhood which is within walking distance of the Underground, shops and many restaurants. We loved walking around the neighborhood and admired the gardens, the old trees and the architecture. We felt very comfortable and safe. The Scottish breakfast served to us in our room each morning was delicious and Linda greeted us each day with a cheery "Good Mornin". We wanted to take her home with us. We loved Glasgow and our stay at The Kirklee certainly enhanced our visit.

During my visit to Glasgow I had the great experience of staying at the Kirklee Hotel in Glasgow. The decor from the moment that you enter the hotel reflects the beauty of Scottish interior. The owners are warm and friendly and make you feel right at home. The bedroom was beautiful with tall windows and a decor that was beautiful and comfortable. It is hard to find a place of beauty, comfort that delivers the feeling of being at home but the staff and owners deliver this 100%. It is obvious that the goal is to make your stay a pleasant welcome one. The Kirklee Hotel is truly an enchanting, charming place to stay and it is the only place for me in Glasgow.

It was my privilege to stay at the lovely Kirklee Hotel for a week in mid-October. We were able to check in early and were shown to a clean, comfortable room with plenty of room and a large private bath. It had been my desire to stay somewhere in Glasgow that was not a run-of- the mill, Americanized, hotel and the Kirklee did not disappoint! The furnishings were eclectic and charming, the in-room traditional Scottish breakfast, delicious, and the staff and owners attentive to every need. The Kirklee was within walking distance of a bus stop, convenience store, and nearby Byers Road, which offered a variety of shopping and dining choices. I would stay at the Kirklee again in a heartbeat should the opportunity arise again. Thanks to Douglas, Rosemary, Linda, and Clare for making my stay so enjoyable!
