The hotel has a main building and annexe next door. Looks like they have been refurbished in the last couple of years so previous negative reviews are probably out of date. We stayed in a club room in the annexe. Lovely old character filled building. We had a lovely spacious room with a small sitting area off the bedroom. Good shower but no bath. Room was welcoming and lovely and warm after a very cold day. We found all the staff to be helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast of juices, cereals, fruit as well as Scottish Breakfast available. Excellent value for money. Would like to have eaten in restauaruant but it had been booked out for a function so hotel staff recommended Italian bistro 10 minute walk away. Very good food and friendly service. All in all a lovely Saturday night. Would definitely go back.
