I loved the Barrisdale - it was so much more than I expected! Lovely interior, awesome breakfast, super friendly and very accomodating hosts. The breakfast is continental - but don't expect to go away hungry! Rolls, muffins, fresh fruit, yoghurt, tea/coffee, juice, cereal...you get it all each morning. The Hyndland train station is maybe a five minute walk down the road and it takes you right into George's Square, Glasgow. Jordanhill station is also close by. They have lots of travel info in the room, and if you need any more advice, Ron is great about giving direction. It's in the more upscale side of town, and I felt the tariff was very fair for the accomodation. I would stay again in a flash!

The Barisdale Guest House is a charming place to stay when visiting Glasgow. Located two exits from the airport, and just a few minutes walk from the train station, makes this b and b a convenient choice. Ron, the gracious host, provided a warm reception, filled with information and humor. Our lovely room was comfortable, and the generous continental breakfast was delivered to our door.
We enjoyed Ron's hospitality so much, that we stayed at the Barisdale again the evening before our departure.

My daughter, new son-in-law, husband and myself stayed at Barrisdale House last September. The rooms were lovely, the location was great, and the hospitality very warm. The tube is only a couple blocks away, a great pub is around the corner, and the resident dog will greet you with delight each time you come home. We stayed for 3 nights and would recommend it to anyone who wants an above average room, breakfast and location.
