We had been planning our trip to Scotland for over a year. We thought we had nailed down our accommodations for the first night in Glasgow however; this wasn't true. Unfortunately the first place we had chosen to stay fell through.

We found the Barrisdale and it turned out to be a wonderful place to stay. Ron was great in helping us get our luggage to the room and answering any questions we had about places to eat and directions to where we were going the next day.

The room was very well maintained and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was en-suite which was good for us.

Breakfast in the morning was filling and included a croissant, jams, yogurt, cereal, milk and juice. There was also another pastry but we don't remember what it was. It was all good.

We would definately recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Glasgow. It is a short drive from Downtown and many other sites of interest.

A very nice B&B that is very close to a train station, but far enough you can't hear the trains. It also has a top notch , well priced, restaurant near by.

I stayed at the Barrisdale Guest House in August 2008 when I was doing some research at the Mitchell Library, so this is a belated review! I had a lovely room which was spotlessly clean. I was served a continental breakfast in my room every morning at the time I asked for. Ron was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The B&B is just a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest rail station which is just a few stops from city centre. I would not hesitate to stay here again the next time I visit Glasgow.

Was here for two nights and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, Ron the owner was very friendly and helpful. A lovely house, not too far away from train and breakfast was spot on both mornings. A great place to stay when ur in Glasgow!
