Reading the last review St Judes they must have got all those opening bugs sorted.
Stunning rooms huge space for what your paying. Reception was still empty but as there is only six room you can understand why its not 24/7. Breakfast was on time and good.
OK a little noise from the street at night but it is glasgow city centre on a saturday night. not enought to bother me. Spoke to new manager Phil who had started running the hotel and rest three weeks earlier, nice guy and very helpful. He must be doing something right as my stay was nothing like the review from April 08. Booked again in October for when im next in glasgow

I would not recommend this hotel at all. We stayed for three nights, this should give you a flavour of our experience:

--We arrived and there was no one on reception so we had to get the bar man from the basement bar to check us in
--We were checked into a room on the front, which on the surface looked nice but it was so noisy we could not sleep and had to move rooms at 3 in the morning
--We had [a poor] breakfast in the room [it was late] but had to phone down for crockery to go with it
--We arrived back to our room in the evening, the room had not been cleaned and our breakfast things were still in the room- again no one on reception but the bar man was very helpful
--We asked for a wake up call for 7.45, it came through at 8.15, 15 minutes after the parking meter came into operation
--When it came to checking out I asked to see the manager and was told it was all down to teething problems and that when I go again [which I won't!!] it would all be OK.

So overall whilst the hotel looked OK on the surface the basics of what you expect from a hotel just weren't there.

Just stayed at the hotel last week for 3 nights. I beleive it has just gone under a major refurb and wow you can tell. The room we stayed was very cool and had great extra little features such as ipod docking station. We didnt have an ipod so the reception let us borrow one free of charge.
My girlfreind loved "the martini mini bar" in the room that came with a cocktail making kit and instuctions on how to make cocktails from the contents of your mini bar.

The bar/restaurant (Mamasan) was deffinatley one of the coolest places i have been within the uk, very asian inspired,dark & sexy serving Asian fusion tapas and great cocktails.

I would reccomend this place to everyone who like something unique with great service.

I had high hopes for Saint Judes having been recommended it in a newspaper travel supplement but I was so disgusted I checked out after 1 night of my 5 night stay and went to the Malmaison instead.

Whilst the room looked ok and would obviously be photgenic, the room was freezing as the heating was poor, there was heavy rain that night and the roof leaked profusively (reception could not move me as none of the other vacant rooms had been cleaned yet as they were unbooked - incredible), cleanliness was not what it could have been, and the hotel does not own either an iron so I turned up my client the following day with a ridiculously creased shirt.

The only saving grace was that they let me check-out 4 days early. Never stay at this hotel.
