Stayed here for 2 nights in Oct '08 and have no complaints at all, in fact quite looking forward to my next stay. Hotel is very nicely decorated, not cheap furnishings, kind of 'gothic / Malmaison / sexy' type feel to it. All staff were pleasant & helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast can be served either to your room or in the nice, Ivy Lounge, which is what we opted for. Continental breakfast was included in our room rate, we could have paid a small supplement for cooked food, but continental was ideal for us. Very nice selecion of fruit juices, cereals, fruits, toast & pastries - all served to your table. The breakfast food was high quality produce, for example fresh fruit juices, not from a machine, light and not greasy croissants, pain au chocolats and quality coffees. We did not dine in the hotel's restaurant but I would assume the food of a similar quality. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance from both main rail stations and very close to the city's excellent selection of shops, bars & restaurants. I stay in Glasgow frequently and would have no hesitation in staying here again.
