I stayed at the Heritage one week in January 2001. The staff was very friendly, accomodating, and helpful. The breakfast service was fresh and the room was clean, quiet, comfortable and roomy.

My husband and I stayed at the Heritage for five nights in June/July 2004. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, accomodating, and helpful. The breakfast was hot and fresh and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We will stay there again in 2006 and would recommend it as well!

The heritage hotel meets the requirement of many cause it is clean and well situated and the staff are all great. Besides, it is not expensive and thier breakfast is great. keep it up

The Heritage has seen better days. Shabby, shabby (vs. "shabby sheak").
Positive point: The desk clerk was very helpful and in fact pointed us to great local eats. As for hotel, The Scottish Tourist Board star system is pretty vague in my opinion. This is 3 star, yet I was slightly squimish using the bathroom facilities yet other 3 stars have been great (maybe they don't get around to inspecting too often). The breakfast... well, wasn't sure how long that fruit had been there. And when the police showed up to interview other guests about "something that went on...". Well, I will try again elsehwere next time.
