This place has to be seen to be believed, and not in a good way. The staff were very suspicous of us, 4 girls aged between 19 and 21. We had no room key so couldnt leave any valuables in the room, the window wouldn't close because there were wires going outside and it had to be kept open with a wire candle holder, we had to put on more clothes going to bed (jackets, ugg boots, etc.) Someone tried to get into our tiny room at 4am, thank god we could lock it from the inside. The shower was home to a large plant. We did see a cleaning lady which reassured us, until we spoke to her and she told us she didnt get paid for doing this job but if she didnt do it, nobody else would (a friend of the owner, I think) Definitly not recommended!!

This hostel is the most creepy hostel I have ever stayed at! The police came twice in three nights! the second of which because a staff member and a friend were fighting and knives were involved! The hostel is filthy, the staff rude and there are many creepy doors. I just feel that If you look very well, you will probably find drugs or dead bodies somewhere in that horrible building. Do not ever go there! It ruined my vision of Glasgow. After Glasgow we went to Edinbourgh which was lovely, so in my memory because of this traumatic experience in this hostel it will always be that Glasgow sucks!

This place really is the worst accommodation in the world. I agree with everything bad written about this place on this site., it's all true.
If you want to say that you have stayed in the worst accommodation in the world then this is the place to gain that claim. I would add that the carpets are so dusty it effects your breathing.

I have stayed at The Globetrotters hostel on many occasions while being in Glasgow. It is a fabulous place to stay.
The hostel is very friendly and the staff could not be more helpful and will go out of their way to see that your stay is as pleasant and comfortable as possble. The hostel has a good size kitchen with all the utilities you could possibly need. There are a good number of bathroom facilities and showers available as well as plenty of hot running water. There is a large tv room with sky tv and dvd player.
They have various sizes of bedrooms and dorms available to suit various needs. The rooms are very comfortable and are cleaned on a regular basis.
This hostel is a great place to stay in Glasgow, and to me this hostel feels like a home from home.
