I am working in Glasgow for a few months and having played 'Hotel Roulette' for the first few weeks, I stumbled on the Kelvingrove and have stayed there ever since. I have stayed in three different rooms in the Hotel all of which were clean, fresh and well decorated. the beds are comfortable and the rooms are warm (the heat is controllable and you can open the windows for ventilation). The dining room is attractively decorated with lovely coving, linen tablecloths & napkins and flowers on the tables. Service in the restaurant is, as with the rest of the hotel, impeccable. As soon as you sit down you will be brought a glass of juice and your order will be taken, you will then be served a beautifully prepared (and not greasy) cooked breakfast with a choice of cereals, porridge and fruit. Service is so efficient that even at busy times I have never had to wait for a table. This is a friendly home from home, and an excellent base to expore Glasgow and the surrounding area. Parking is only £4 for the whole day (with a permit issued by the hotel). Within walking distance you will find numerous restaurants including Scottish, Indian, Thai, Italian, Greek, Korean and Moroccan/Spanish. Try it, you will not be disappointed
