“A feast for green fingers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Extensive grounds make up this garden where you can find collections of all sorts of flowers and plants. Within the grounds there is also a walking path with trees and a lake. Very peaceful.

“Trees and the likes...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

About a 30-40 minute walk from Glasgow Central, the Botanic Gardens is an amazing attraction, housing a wide variety of exotic and local plant species. There is also the Kibble Palace, a place where culture and art come together with flora from around the world to create an eye opening experience.

“Very nice Botanic Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Very nice botanic gardens, located in the West End. It's very easy to get there by bus and a few minutes' walk from Hillhead station. Entry to all the the glasshouses is free, unlike the botanics in Edinburgh. The palm house (tropical rainforest), orchid and cacti collections are well worth a visit. The Kibble Palace (with its eccentric collection of statues, live koi carp and carnivorous plants) seems to be very popular with families and kids.

“fabulous little Botanic Garden”

What is there not to like. Council run and what a great job they do. The Kibble Palace is such a fantastic feature. Lovely walks and a great wee restaurant.

Visited at end of May, the flower beds outside looked really good. The glasshouses are wonderfull elaborate collections of unusual plants. Well worth seeing.
