“A green gem in Glasgow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

A beautiful spot on the banks of the River Kelvin and a great favourite with Glaswegians. Marvel at the huge Kibble Palace greenhouse. See the lovely orchids in the hothouses. Lie on the grass in the sunshine or see the gardens under snow. Old folks, kiddies, young folks, love the Botanics - so will you.

“Nice for an afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

The gardens are a delight situated as they are right in the heart of Glasgow. The Victorian glasshouses which are the Kibble Palace are very fine and well worth a visit. The tea room however is to be avoided. It looks fine, there are plenty of tables and chairs but a dearth of staff so that tables remain uncleared and worst of all there is only one toilet for men, women and disabled to share. This needs to be sorted out.

The botanic gardens are just off one of Glasgows main streets. It is an oasis of calm. The palace is full of history as well as interesting flora and fauna. It is a great way to spend an hour or so.
