“Worth to visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Plenty of plants from the simplest ones to the most exotic trees and plants. I had a nice time there and had not been disappointed in anything.

“Glasgow Botanic Gardens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Plenty of benches on which to sit and fester and from which to watch people. A good place to work on your notes (if it's not windy) or read a book if you're between meetings and bored with your hotel room.

Intriguing self confident Kibble Palace glass house looks a bit like and overgrown UFO. Probably also a good place to visit for people who like plants.

Imaginatively landscaped, and surrounded by a posh district of Glasgow with plenty of lines of fine nineteenth century houses (subject to the occasional gap presumably courtesy of the Luftwaffe) and, to the north side of the Gardens, interesting shops.

“Lovely outing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

I thought, being February, that there wouldn't be so much to see in bloom, but it was such an interesting place with hot houses containing such an array of plants from all over the world. And, I loved the two indoor fish ponds. Its such a relaxing environment. The tea room was great, too. I must return and sample that splendid full afternoon tea because the individual cake stands looked heavenly with their lovely assortment of tempting sandwiches and fancy fresh creme cakes with chocolate and strawberries. I'm salivating just remembering this!
