The Chip was recommended by a friend and I'm very glad she suggested it.
One of our party is vegetarian, but also cow's-milk intolerant. I mentioned this when I booked and was reassured that they would be able to cater well for her.
On arrival we were met by our server who had already been briefed by the chef about what would be suitable for her, and also what he could change to make it suitable--she was impressed--such a change from the usual treatment--she actually had a choice of dishes, and dessert was made especially for her.
For the rest of us, it was hard to decide what to choose, but we were very pleased with our selections. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be returning when we are next in Glasgow.
The atmosphere was lovely, overlooking the main restaurant on the balcony above. It is small, and the servers had to squeeze past our table to serve the people behind us--not a problem for us though.
The staff were friendly and helpful, without being over-the-top--genuinely interested in guests.
None of our party drink alcohol, but we had soft drinks--the bill for 3 people, all having three courses came to £95 which I felt was very reasonable.
If you are driving there is a large car park nearby fairly cheap.
