I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights along with my sister, as part of a flight/hotel package.
From check-in to check-out I could not find any faults with this hotel!
We arrived several hours before check-in due to an early flight and were met with a friendly desk clerk who securely locked our luggage in a "luggage room" so we would not have to lug it around the city for the morning.
Location is very good, very close to one of the main streets (Sauchiehall St.) Walking for 10-20 minutes will bring you to a lot of wonderful museums and interesting sites. I recommend taking the City Sightseeing tour which has a stop quite close (at Royal Highland Fusiliers Museum in Charing Cross Station area). Less than 5 minutes walk to tons of restaurants, take-away places, & the Tesco Express grocery store.
Our room was very clean, mattress was very comfortable on the double bed and they also made up a sofa bed for us. As far as european bathrooms go this one was a good size with tub & toiletries.
A very comfortable hotel to come home to after a full day of sightseeing!
One of the best parts of our Novotel visit was the enormous buffet breakfast included in our room package. An all you can eat smorgasbord of every breakfast food you could possibly want! Tea, coffee, juice, fresh fruit smoothie, yogurt drink, etc for beverages. Eggs, potatoes, waffles, grilled tomato, toast, mushrooms, baked beans, muffins, pastries, several meat selections, yoghurt, etc... a great start to a busy day!!
Check-out was quick and we had a taxi waiting for us within a minute.
I would definitely stay here again!!!

My partner and I stayed at the Novotel for a joint birthday treat earlier this month and had a lovely stay here. The hotel is one block away from Sauchiehall Street and only a short walk from Buchanan Street where most of the shops are situated. Although very close to the main streets, the road where the hotel sits is very quiet and is thankfully a little bit away from the noisiest pubs and clubs.

The staff were very nice; our room was large and very clean and the breakfast was very good despite being a buffet.

No complaints about this hotel - i'd definitely recommend a stay here!

Stayed at this hotel at the end of August as part of a tour. Location is good - can walk easily to Souchiehall or Buchanan Streets for shopping, about a mile from Kelvingrove Museum, easy access to public transport. Hotel is clean and neat, good amenities, modern-style decor. Staff was friendly; eat breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and food was simple but well prepared.

Yet another corporate hotel in another big city. No discernable car park. Clean and safe. Room was pleasant but hot. I didn't eat there but it looked OK and I gave breakfast a miss - it looked pricey and was one of those beastly breakfast 'buffet' things.

  • Liked — It was slap bang opposite where I had my meetings
  • Disliked — The room was too hot

I have stayed here twice now and compared to similar hotels in Glasgow it is streets ahead. Jurys was the other place I stayed and there is no comparison.

I had one of the new bedrooms which were excellent with a fantastic shower. Staff were all really helpful and really nice food available to eat in the newly refurbished bar or in the restuarant.

Location is excellent, can't understand other comments who say it is not central, you are literally a minute's walk from Sauchiehall Street.

Will always look to stay here in the future.

  • Liked — Nice modern clean feel, newly refurbed rooms and bar area, very good food
  • Disliked — Car park was a little bit tricky but very safe and secure
