I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, check in was professional and courteous and the room was great. I stayed here whilst on business in Glasgow.
The room was clean and very comfortable. There was a large bed and everything that you would expect to find in this type of hotel. There were tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, spare pillows and blankets, extra towels. There was a flat screen TV in the room which had lots of digital television and radio channels which was a nice touch, everywhere else I stay only seems to have the normal terrestrial channels.
During my stay I visited the hotel restaurant and bar. I had a good mixed grill and profiteroles for dessert. The food was great but I did have to wait a little while for it to arrive. The waiter brought me a newspaper to read whilst I was waiting for my food, so I didn't feel like I'd been forgotten.
The hotel is very central and Glasgow Central station is about 2 minutes walk away. There are plenty of shops, pubs and bars close by. There is a Tesco Extra about 2 minutes walk which is convenient.
I stayed on the 3rd floor. I had a good nights sleep but I did get woken up at about 3am by some other guests arguing in the next room it only lasted about 5 minutes and there weren't any other disturbances in the night. I got straight back to sleep again and I just put it down to it being Friday night.
In the morning, I went down for breakfast, which was buffet style. You can choose from the cooked breakfast or continental, basically help yourself to whatever you want, there was a really good selection available.
The only problem I did have was parking my car. The hotel doesn't have it's own parking. You can park in the street for free between 6pm to 8am and there is also a multi-storey car park around the corner which guests can park in for a discounted rate. Parking outside these times is expensive.
