Great sleep in a fantastic bed after a hectic night out. The breakfast is the perfect tonic to a big night in the city. Special mention to the concierge for his great advice on city attractions, made a good stay great.

Stayed for 12 days on business and enjoyed every minute of it! this Marriott is only a 5 min. walk to city center with a bus stop and subway stop located right in front of the hotel.
Hotel has a full service health club with an excellent selction of equipment, about the best I've ever seen in a hotel.
Bedding in the hotel has been updated in the past year or 2 and very comfortable.
Had room service several nights and found it to be fast and surprisingly well prepared.
Hotel staff was very frendly and quick to offer advice about surrounding restaurants, bars, entertainment, etc.
Will always make this Marriott my first choice when returning to Glasgow!

A noisy stay at a more centrally located hotel necessitated resiting for the remainder of my stay as it was not feasible to get up tired every morning. Priceline decided this would be it.

What works:
* an excessively comfortable pair of beds with more pillows than bed (this is probably the heavily advertised Marriott Bed that is premiering in the UK currently, and akin to the Heavenly Bed in the US)
* a tea pot! Nothing more smashing than a hot clean scrub and hot tea after a night filled with uninterrupted refreshing sleep
* premium toiletries from Aromatherapy and thick absorbent fresh smelling towels
* courteous check in and housekeeping staff

What does not work:
* insufficient back up (assigned) rooms for an executive suite upgrade
* egregiously overpriced breakfast at the week end (however, with a set of conference bus loads disembarking, this would seem a good cost point for them)
* a brisk twenty (20) minute walk from Queen Street station or George Square; about 5 minutes from Central Station. Portions of the walk are dodgy after midnight, keeping in mind that portions of nearly any metropolitan walk are dodgy after midnight. You will see the intriguing SAS Radisson hotel face en route to Central Station

My tea pot had been pre-used and not washed upon check in. Upon bringing this to the attention of housekeeping, it was replaced in 60 seconds.

The front desk receptionist erroneously issued me a service number for my airline (for confirmation 24 hours before departure) when the free phone number was specifically requested, which ended up costing several inevitable pounds.

The minibar is one of those fancy ones with sensors - should you inadvertently move things about or, gasp, displace them to store your own materials, the sensors go bonkers and will not only charge you for the materials moved but also shut the refrigeration mechanism completely. This is clearly spelt out on the inside upper portion of the door - but I did not expect this. Upon realizing this before check out, charges were promptly erased without question. I guess this happens often.

I would definitely stay at this property should I return to Glasgow, taking adequate precautions to spring in advance for the Executive level of room and use my own mobile as per usual for all calls.

Marriot admitted that there was bed bugs in the room but didn't even offer a refund.

Hotel was nice otherwise, but totally ruined by poor cleaning standards. Glad I never ate any food from there cafe would probably have got food poisoning!!
