Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel in the end of october. We wanted to stay in a 5 * hotel and it was great. what i did not know was that my boyfriend planned to propose to me (i said yes). The room was great, clean, big and the biggest most comfortable bed!!! We stayed on the executive floor and it was great, we had access to the executive lounge where complimentary drinks were served in the evening. Did not use the gym but the pool area with the saunas was great.

the hotel was close to central and not too hard to find.

A continental breakfast was included- in the executive lounge however it was nothing i would recommend - probably better to pay the extra and eat in the restaurant on the ground floor.

I would definately visit this hotel again and recommend it to others,

I'll start with the good points:- the room was clean and the bed wonderful as usual with Marriotts. The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of secure parking.
The thing I found most disagreeable was when I went to check out I asked if I could book in for another night later that week. I was told I couldn't do it at the reception and was given a phone number for a CALL CENTRE. I thought at that point the world had gone truly mad.
I also expect to have breakfast included when I am spending more than £100 on one night. If the chamber maids earn peanuts and reception doesn't take bookings, where exactly is all that money going?
Next, when I went to pay I was told the 'system was down' and they would forward my bill. When it finally arrived at my home they had already taken the liberty of debiting my credit card, plus some items I had not eaten. When I queried it the 'system was down'. Again.
Finally, the chap on reception (not the concierge) who gave me the token for the car park barrier had not primed it so I could not get out and had to re-park and go back to reception, which made me late.

Stayed here with my partner over New Year on a 2 night package deal including breakfast. Even though the Glasgow Hogmanay event was cancelled due to the bad weather we had a great time!
When we arrived the car park was more than ample and we were checked in quickly and without fuss. The room, although quite small did have a huge king size bed ( seemed more like the super-king I've got at home). Everything worked in the room (apart from the Wi-Fi internet, but I'll let that slide as it got me off my laptop for a couple of days, much to my girlfriends relief!!).

Went for dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night and it was a lovely (though very small) buffet, and the staff were all friendly and helpful, suggesting places to go that evening, Breakfast was also excellent so I can't fault the restaurant at all. The bar area was nicely laid out and on the second night there was a very entertaining band playing a mix of Scottish and popular music.

Like most hotels in Scotland there is an abundance of Polish staff but all the ones we met here were friendly, efficient and spoke excellent english.

Like an earlier reviewer, we often stay at the nearby Hilton but in the future we would be happy with either. We'll see which has the best deals on. We will definately be back here soon!

My partner and i stayed here for one night in an executive room. Room was nothing special. Breakfast in the executive lounge was poor, understaffed, dirty plates, broken coffee machine, waited too long for food to be replenished due to lack of staff. I was not impressed at all, we usually stay at the neighbouring Glasgow Hilton which is far superior to this.

I stay once or twice a month on business and have always found the staff terrific and very helpfull. The rooms are small compared to some countries but the beds are HUGE! and the rooms are always very clean although the chamber maids all seem to originate from Poland?
The hotel has excellent pool and fitness facilities and is often empty. The pizza in the hotel is better than most. The concierge service is wonderfull, always ready to help with the bags and full of ideas for days out or bookings.
The location of the hotel is right next to the M8 motorway, 10 mins walk from Central train station and the main shopping areas. Easy walking to main attractions and very resonably priced!
