As noted by others this is an excellent place to stay. The room was not the largest but absolutely fine, clean, and everything I would have expected from Marriott. The breakfast was excellent even including a chance to taste traditional Scottish haggish. The location of the hotel (Argyle St.) is only a few minutes walk from the main shopping and central railway station In Glasgow. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and both times the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was good. I don't remember what the bed was like the first time I visited 2 years ago but this time (March 2006) I noticed the bed was very comfortable, w/ big fluffy pillows and down comforter, and firm mattress. I'd definitely stay here again.

Hotel Lobby bars and restaurant were lovely, reception staff on check in were efficient but not too friendly, on checking out were really nice.
Pool was lovely, on the small side but spotlessly clean, changing rooms great, no jacuzzi and the steam room was out of order but sauna was nice. Only complaint about the pool was you had to go the first floor then down stairs then up more stairs to get to it, despite there being a door through from the bar which it said was a fire exit.
Our main complaint was that the room was very small. We requested 2 double beds, however we got a room with a king size bed, which was a lot smaller than we have encountered in other marriotts. Also the tile grout in the bathroom was getting mouldy - could be doing with some attention. However we only stayed one night for a concert and did not complain.
The only way I would stay again is if we were guaranteed a larger room - The crowne plaza is being refurbished and looks lovely so perhaps this is a better option on a trip to glasgow

If you are used to staying in Marriott hotels than there are no suprises here .Rooms are very clean and comfortable and almost identical to other Marriotts I have stayed in.Customer service was excellent even though the hotel was full we had no long waits.
Cant comment on Breakfast as we were room only

Location is fine though not the most central

One minor gripe was that the in room iron was absolutely useless . It had no steam and didnt get very hot.

All in all I would stay here again but may try another hotel on my next visit.
