Oh dear.Very poor service from the reception staff. The rooms {I tried 3 different ones} were all very tired. The bathrooms, thankfully, had been modernised and were fine. Room service cooked breakfast was miserable. At any price the fabric of the hotel was pathetic and is a world away from 4 star hotels in Europe let alone in Asia.
On a positive note , the managers were extremely courteous and did everything they could to accomodate me.

This hotel has an impressive entrance and the lower floor looks inviting, but the food was really awful, greasy soup, dry and cold steak and a rubbish dessert. We waited and waited for the food sitting neglected at a wobbly table, others were complaining too, just horrible. Rooms OK though if small and noisy, get a room at the front. Also hookers in the corridors, and the rest of the clientele made for a bad weekend.

This is a business class 4 Star hotel that has true feelings of US quality service. It is a true Marriott in Class and Style. Upon arrival from London via Calendonian Sleeper, the hotel checked our bags for 6 hours until Check-in. Upon check-in, the receptionist simply took my name and handed me an envelope with key and room information. The bags were immediately sent up to the room which I walked into with a personal welcome message on the TV from the hotel. The hotel offered everything necessary and more. It is full service and high quality. The room was very spacious (normal American style) and had everything necessary (even a pants press). The coffee and tea pot came w/ English biscuits and cookies. The beds are incredibly comfortable. A doube room here comes w/ 2 double beds (and they had roll aways). We were able to stay for a fantastic rate. The lobby has WIFI. The hotel offers 24 hour room service, but we only ate breakfast there. The breakfast was full buffet and it was included in our rate. With all the value, the hotel was amazing. The next time I am in Glasgow, I'm staying here definately. On day of check-out, the invoice is delivered to your door step before you even awake and you just sign the card receipt and go. Must stay for Americans wishing a taste of home.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel. We thought the hotel was very nice and the rooms were rather spacious. We had breakfast at the hotel which was a bit overpriced but rather good. The people who worked there were extremely friendly and very helpful in recommending in a restaurant for dinner.

The hotel was a 15 minute walk from the city center and from Central Train Station. This was the last night of our 10 day trip so we had enough walking and were able to get a taxi easily in front of the hotel to go to dinner. It was also a short drive, about 15-20 minutes to Glasgow Airport, which is where we were heading the next morning. Overall we were pleased with our stay at the Marriott.

My husband was traveling to Glasgow on business and his company booked us at this hotel. From arrival until check-out, the staff were some of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever met.

The rooms were great except our room had a strange smell for a period of time but it finally went away. The location was central and we walked to the restaurant at the Malmaison hotel which was fabulous! But be warned, there are some hills so my mother had to take a cab the short distance. Breakfast at the hotel was overpriced and not very good, so walk a few blocks for a quick breakfast.

Warning - Don't visit the McDonalds just a few blocks from the hotel. We were traveling with our children and they were hungry one night so we walked down to the McDonalds. A fist fight broke out between two men and his mother! Mother and son were drunk and my daughter was very upset after witnessing it. We were appalled that the police don't even bother to come when something like that happens (even though an emergency button was pushed that called the police when it all started) and were informed by a McDonalds employee that fights happen all of the time and and least this time they didn't have weapons!

After this experience, we were very wary. I wouldn't go out walking after dark.

The hotel is a little far from the bus station where all of our day tours originated from so we always had to take a cab, but other than that, it was a wonderful hotel in a good location.
