Stayed one night in the Marriott for a family get together and loved every moment of it. I am from Glasgow so I know of the hotel but have never stayed before.
From check in to checking out I find it hard to fault either the hotel or the staff.
The only downfall was the renovation of the restaurant, but to honest it was a minor irritation.
We booked the tariff which gives you access to the executive lounge. This is well worth the bit extra you pay. Drinks and canapes are served early evening until around 9.30pm free of charge and breakfast the following day. When you think that breakfast costs around £15 - £20 it's a good deal.
The room was large, with 2 double beds, which have to be the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, in an hotel. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The bathroom spotlessly clean with lovely toiletries.
Every member of staff we encountered was polite and helpful. Their company should be proud of them.
Although close to the M8 motorway the sound proofing is very good.
The leisure facilities are very good.
The hotel is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the city centre, which has fabulous shopping and a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.
We stayed in the Hilton Hotel last year which is in the same area and I found the Marriott to be of a better standard.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Glasgow.
