The hotel lobby was impressive and reception and concierge staff were polite, helpful and got our stay off to a great start. We booked a standard king size non-smoking room which was top-notch, clean and comfortable. The deal we got was £99, stay for breakfast and great value. The bed was huge and bedding luxurious. The breakfast was delicious and varied with lots of choices and all good quality. It was topped up quickly and the staff were efficient at serving teas and coffees and clearing away empty plates. We ate early - around 8am so had no problem getting a table but we noticed later that there was a large queue outside the restaurant with people having to wait to get in.

We used the leisure facilities, which were lovely. The pool was warm and the steam room clean. Changing facilities and showers also clean.

The cafe bar was cosy and friendly, though maybe a bit pricey. We didn't try the restaurant at night as the menu did not appeal - too fussy and plenty of great restaurants within a short walk.

  • Liked — comfy beds and breakfast
  • Disliked — mini bar - was afraid to touch anything as it had sensors on it

Good value, paid £89 a night. The room was clean but basic. comfy bed. Breakfast was well above the usual quality in hotels in the UK.

In addition to comments posted on this site, we arrived late morning on 21 Dec. and found staff at the front desk able to check us into a room straight away. Rates were fair for the room considering we were 10 min. or so walk to city center.

Area is undergoing some rejuvenation in terms of building development, however, that should not stop you from considering this as an option. Easy to call a taxi or walk around the City -

Appreciated the friendly staff at the front desk – and the concierage, especially on a busy evening with holiday revelers. Buffet style breaksfast – fill your boots for the day!

We had a fantastic weekend break at the Marriott. The room was beautifully furnished and the beds were really comfortable. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and overall, I'd really recommend staying here for a weekend away. Loved it!

Stayed at the Glasgow Marriott whilst attending a work function in Glasgow and was delighted at the accommodation on offer.
I travel extensively with my job and this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The room were very comfortable and spacious - mine had a Superking Bed. The ensuite was larger than most hotel rooms in London! Staff were very friendly and obliging.

The Leisure facilities are a welcome bonus, although the pool is only intended for a dip rather than the serious swimmer.

Bar and restaurant areas were excellent and Breakfast was very well executed with a wide choice on offer. I would definately stay again.

  • Liked — Comfortable - just what a hotel stay should be
  • Disliked — Swimming pool too shallow!
