Been Marriott Platinum member for a few years so I’ve stay at lot of their properties.
Good; centrally located, responsive staff, had Wi-Fi issue in the lobby and the front desk quickly called the help line and resolved the issue. Comfortable but small room. The front desk was always quick to respond to anything I needed.
Bad; not a large selection of restaurants within an easy walk, property in need of an update and better lighting, where the refrigerator was in the room is now boarded up. Service at the bar was great one night (large TIP) and less than average the next, (no TIP), and then good the next night( good TIP).
Bottom Line; would I stay there again, yes for business probably not for pleasure.

Nice hotel but it's too bad they don't offer free wi-fi for guests. More and more people are carrying internet capable mobiles and appreciate being able to communicate with family back home without having to pay exorbitant prices for internet access. Many of the other smaller hotels on our month long trip were able to offer free wi-fi access. Why can't a world-wide chain like Marriott do it to?

We stayed on a special DBB rate of £99 booked direct with marriot for my husbands birthday. A last minute things only booked about 10 days before.

We felt it was really worth the money as this was for the two of us and included a three course meal in the restuarant. The meal was of a good standard with the option to upgrade to something from the grill if you wanted. But my husband and I both had a chicken dish which was lovely. Good selection at the buffet breakfast in the morning.

I asked for a quiet room on a high floor and was given exactly that. At check in Heather at reception asked the reason for our stay. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday. When we came back from the shops, two mini bottles of wine were in the room with a card, so thank you Heather !. The room was very comfortable, a great sleep.

The Marriott is a bit of a walk to the town centre, but £4 - 5 taxi gets you there, and is handy for the SECC.

I would go back.

We stayed here for the wekend for a shopping and football trip. Excellent location for the football and shops. Use of the leisure facilities a bonus. Enjoyed a great late breakfast before leaving on the sunday. My son can't wait for the next trip!

This is an amazing hotel.
The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The nice part is you can also open a window.
The food is expensive but quite tasty.
Ten minute walk to the city centre.
Worth the money to stay here. The Hilton close by is a little cheaper. We also stayed there but the Marriot was far superior.

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights based on points and they upgraded us to the 12th floor which gave us access to the Executive Lounge. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast each morning just 40 feet from our room--like going to your kitchen except everything is prepared! Plently of wine and beer in the evening as well as light snacks. Attendants for breakfast and evening kept it fully stocked and very tidy. We also had food in their lounge and resturant and all were very good. About 10 minute walk to Central Station and city center. The Red Glasgow tour bus stops across the street and the hotel also arranged a Highlands bus tour. Very nice staff and highly recommend.

Room Tip: Get a 12th floor room.
