I booked this hotel as a place for my new wife and I to stay before we headed off on our honeymoon. I got a great rate for an executive room on-line, and was thoroughly looking forward to the stay.
We got there very late on Saturday night, and duly checked into our room on the second floor. Although it was a very good size, we were extremely disappointed with the view (see photos of internal courtyard and air-con uploaded by others) and with the constant hum of the air conditioning.
I mentioned this twice to reception, who said they'd let the management know - but nothing came of it. I also complained that although I'd clearly stated before arrival that we were newly-weds, we were given two single beds pushed together and not an actual double bed. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but the heated mirror was a nice touch.
Other than these faults, the rooms was comfortable with good quality furnishing, Great location (I can't think of better in Glasgow), comfortable bed, and a free minibar. The breakfast was good, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the 'executive lounge'. The free internet access was useful.
If you can be sure you don't end up in the room we did, overlooking the courtyard, go for it.
