This hotel has been my home away from home in Glasgow as I am traveling for work. So my review will be somewhat slanted with that angle.
First impressions. If you are coming in via taxi, you may notice that you are close to the highway. Very close. The way to get to the hotel if you walk is along an on ramp and through an alley on one side, or walking along the highway on the other side. Not the grandest approach, or the most reassuring as a pedestrian at night.
The hotel itself is a standard full-service Hilton. Three restaurants/bars (Cameron's, Raffles, Minsky's). The breakfast is good (Minsky's only). The dinner selection at Minsky's is limited (buffett, steaks). Haven't tried Cameron's yet. The bar menu at Raffles should best be limited to the club sandwich.
There are also fitness facilities that I should make more use of.
The rooms themselves are good. Not great. Not particularly up to date. Don't expect Plasma/LCD TV, 120V (US) outlet (definitely a nice to have for a business traveler), or wifi. The beds are nice, along with the bath linens.
If you are a Diamond HHonors member and you don't end up on the Executive Floors, you can ask for bottled water from the concierge.
