This is a super choice of hotel for many reasons.
The location: a quick cab ride to Glasgow's city centre and all other areas of the city.
The staff: polite, friendly and attentive. It pays to know what you're entitled to. We didn't find the staff very forthcoming, however, they don't hesitate to provide anything you request.
The room: very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Mirrors, counter tops could be cleaner.
Breakfast: is it included in your room rate? Every breakfast item is available to you, and there's plenty of it. Again, you often have to hail the staff to get your tea, coffee, etc. but they'll take good care of you once you have their attention. The breakfast really sets you up for the day. We didn't have dinner but heard good reports about it.
Front desk staff: helpful with cabs, recommendations etc.
I would consider staying here again. It's ideally situated and a comfortable place to lay your head after a priceless day of sightseeing or shopping.
Do not miss the Glasgow Museum of Transport, the Kelvingrove Art Museum, The People's Palace etc. These can be reached using the Glasgow Sightseeing Tour Bus. It's a must. Give yourself two days to see it all. It's all worth it.
We also recommend taking the train from Queen Street Station to see Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and the Falkirk Wheel.
There's so much more to see and do. We just ran out of time.
Finest Chinese restaurant we've dined at: Ho Wongs, York Street. You'll want to go back the next day.
