I stayed at this hotel on a bank holiday weekend and it was also the cup final so the hotel was very busy. We arrived at 11am but we were permitted to check in which was great as my husband was going to the football and i was going shopping .We were on the 11th floor which despite the hotel being busy was a very quiet rooom. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfy .
I used the hotels leisure facilities which were great ,swimming pool , sauna, steam room etc.
Staff were very friendly and helpful we check in and out swiftly .No complaints about this hotel at all and i will definetly use it again.

This is a super choice of hotel for many reasons.
The location: a quick cab ride to Glasgow's city centre and all other areas of the city.
The staff: polite, friendly and attentive. It pays to know what you're entitled to. We didn't find the staff very forthcoming, however, they don't hesitate to provide anything you request.
The room: very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Mirrors, counter tops could be cleaner.
Breakfast: is it included in your room rate? Every breakfast item is available to you, and there's plenty of it. Again, you often have to hail the staff to get your tea, coffee, etc. but they'll take good care of you once you have their attention. The breakfast really sets you up for the day. We didn't have dinner but heard good reports about it.
Front desk staff: helpful with cabs, recommendations etc.
I would consider staying here again. It's ideally situated and a comfortable place to lay your head after a priceless day of sightseeing or shopping.
Do not miss the Glasgow Museum of Transport, the Kelvingrove Art Museum, The People's Palace etc. These can be reached using the Glasgow Sightseeing Tour Bus. It's a must. Give yourself two days to see it all. It's all worth it.
We also recommend taking the train from Queen Street Station to see Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and the Falkirk Wheel.
There's so much more to see and do. We just ran out of time.
Finest Chinese restaurant we've dined at: Ho Wongs, York Street. You'll want to go back the next day.

We stayed here on Friday 4th as we were attending a concert at the SECC. This hotel is joined onto the SECC so is very handy if you are attending an event there.

The room was nice, it was clean and had a big power shower and mini bar. No CD player though, which we did miss. But they do have Satalite TV which includes a music channel.

We stayed on the 14th floor and the view was incredible, you could see across the whole city.

We did not have dinner at the hotel but we did have breakfast which was lovely, lots of choice, and plenty to go around.

I used the swimming pool, this was nice and clean and not busy which was good.

We would stay at this hotel again as we got the service you expect from a 4 star hotel.

  • Liked — The views across the city & the breakfast - Yum yum

Thanks for your review.

You are right about the views from the higher floors, they are magnificent.

You will be pleased to learn that we have introduced CD players in all our suites which are available for a supplement.

Thanks again.

My wife and I travelled up from Somerset and booked this hotel through its own web site, the first nights dinner was included in the cost of the room. After a 7 hour drive arrived at the hotel, booked in and went for dinner, well what a surprise the meal was just great highly recommended. However, unknown to us Bob Dylan was playing at the SSCE and about 10.pm the place was crowded, and trying to get a drink was fairly difficult, anyway it was late and time for bed, arrived at breakfast at 09.45 and it was chaos, the buffett which is very good, but the kitchen could not keep up with the supply of fried eggs. This may sound petty as this is all I have found negative about the hotel, all other breakfasts were great and the staff are excellent, dont let my pettyness put you off because I will stay here again its a great hotel

Very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I was particularly pleased to read your comments regarding the restaurant as we have been doing a lot of work in that area.

Sorry about the rush at breakfast. You wre right in saying that the hotel was very busy due to a concert next door. Unfortunately it gets a bit frantic when a large proportion of guests come down at the same time.....thus the delay with our eggs which incidently are cooked fresh.

Please come and see us again soon.

this hotel is beautiful - esp. if u stay in the executive suite.....if u book a room here not only do u have a beautiful room but it also gives u access to an executive lounge - this is a very nice lounge where u can relax and drink and eat a selection of complimentry foods and drinks (serving juice & water throu the day - and wine and beer in the evenin) all free! in the mornin u can also visit this lounge to enjoy a continental breakfast!

i would however not advise u to stay in the superior room as althou it is a big room u do not have access to the executive lounge - and for the extra money u pay u expect that - however when realisin this the manager was so helpfull in downgrading our room so we could enjoy the executive suite!

enjoy!!
