I was concerned when I read the reviews but for budget accommodation in such a great central location if was perfectly adequate. Yes the rooms are a bit small but clean. The beds were comfortable. I found the staff friendly and helpful. They are advertising a big renovation coming soon.

Stayed there with a friend in a twin room, when we checked out she left her bags to collect later - when we she went back about 4pm they were threatening to put them into lost property. Staff were generally pretty unfriendly, rooms were clean but pretty cramped and had seen better days.

It served a purpose, location is excellent but could do with being a bit friendlier.

Sorry, this place is too hit and miss to recommend it. The rack rate is £95 room only for what was basically a glorified broom cupboard. Woodchip on the wall artexed ceilings and the worst ever furniture make this a bit of a 70s nightmare.
A quick overnight stay perhaps, but anything longer go elsewhere. My Glasgow favourite is still the City Inn.

Was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews and when we first checked in we were offered a room at the back of the hotel. It was tiny with a window looking at a wall and one double bed squeezed in, however I asked if they had any rooms at the front of the hotel and the staff were excellent. They let me look at another at the front which was much better. Still quite small but comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

We had a deal that included dinner on the first night. the restaurant decor and atmosphere was nothing special but the food was delicious and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was served late (till11pm on Sat, and 12 noon on Sunday!) and was brilliant - lots of freshly cooked hot food and proper juice glasses that hold more than a thimble of juice. Good value for money and very central to lots of things. We would also recommend Ichiban - a Japanese noodle bar just down the street (turn left at the Museum of Modern Modern art!).

Saw reviews but decided to give this hotel a go. We arrived at the hotel to find it RIGHT in the heart of the city centre, with shops, restaurants and pubs all a stones throw away. The hotel is dated but location makes up for this (i believe a full refurbishemnt planned in 2007) .staff were friendly, helpfull and had a goodknowledge of local area. Room was compact but clean and shower was excellent. If you are looking for a room in the centre of Glasgow this hotel offers value for money and excellent service
