Stayed here for 3 nights and the location is excellent, the place is very clean and overall good for the price, The one downside is the Room is tiny and I mean tiny - its was sweltering hot and the window opened about 2 cm - not a good combination!

Having just spent Sat. night 05/04/08 in what can be only described as the smallest hotel room in the world. I can only say if there are two of you dont go there. My husband and I were getting ready to go out for the evening, two people can't get ready at the same time . We had to put our bags in the toilet , even then there is so little room we had to take turns at moving to get ready.
The rooms were clean and modern but for the money we payed £125 i think its a disgrace.about the size of them . We have stayed in Ramada hotels in the middle east and the rooms are at least twice the size with plenty of toiletries if needed. You would think chain hotels would have the same standard through out after all they cost is almost the same
Altogether a much nicer experience
We Certainly will not use this hotel again
This review is my long overdue way of saying thank-you to the Ramada staff, in particular Kirsty, who was so helpful when I (stupidly!) booked their Paisley branch by mistake through a general hotel booking website. Since I hadn't made the booking using the Ramada's own website, to change it to the Glasgow branch should have incurred some kind of charge at least (and a lot of hassle), but this was waived and I was told that the Glasgow Ramada would sort it out directly with the Paisley branch. Older reviews and photos of the hotel should be completely ignored as the place has undergone a total refurbishment. The decor throughout is modern and minimalist but not so minimalist that you can't relax. The seating area in the lobby by the huge ceiling-height window is a great place to chill-out and watch the street life outside before checking into your room. Whilst the room wasn't massive it was very clean and perfectly adequate as long as you're not one of those crazy travellers who doesn't known the meaning of travelling light. And travel light you should, because you are about as centrally located as one can be and everyone knows that Glasgow is great for shopping. Merchant City's designer shops are practically on your doorstep and the more affordable Buchanan Street is a couple of minutes walk away. Also because of the hotel's central location you won't need to use a taxi after a night out. The en-suite bathroom was a decent size and had all the essentials. Overall I would rate the Ramada as excellent value for money and the room size was more than compensated for by the fantastic staff and brilliant location. I will definitely stay again when I'm next in Glasgow.
I booked this hotel due to the location had stayed before and thought it was ok for price and location is great. But hey what a transformation. Totally refurbished and unrecognisable. Staff are great too - very friendly. Highly recomend this hotel and will be letting all my friends and colleagues know.
This was our first visit to Glasgow and loved it. The hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment and the results are great. Clean, modern and very tastefully decorated. Also, you couldn't get a better location, slap bang in the middle of the city. The room, although pretty small, was clean and comfortable. We found all (well most) of the staff to be friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb. Our only complaint was the twenty-something party-goers who come back drunk at 5 in the morning, acting like school children and running up and down the corridors shouting and screaming without an ounce of consideration for other residents. But to be fair, this was not the fault of the hotel. All-in-all, a great weekend in a great city.
