We just returned from Glasgow earlier this month. We are from Canada and it was our first visit to Glasgow. Our decision to stay at the Belhaven was a lucky one on our part. The hotel is beautiful, in a fantastic location, and across from the wonderful botanical gardens, where we took an entirely enjoyable ambling evening walk. The Belhaven staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and seemed to like assisting their guests. The hotel has a very interesting feel to it, a certain something that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was quite nice, a good size, with a comfortable bed, but could have been a little cleaner. A remote control for the television would have been nice too, but still it was pretty good and didn't detract from our enjoyment and satisfaction with our stay. We also enjoyed a nightcap in the cozy lounge. Breakfast was also great and well organized. We hope to stay there again when we get back to the great city of Glasgow.

i was booked into the Belhaven as part of a wedding party. I thought my experience might be typical of British 3 star hotels! Well, the breakfast was superb, I was upgraded to the premier room with double jacuzzi and we all had a quick night cap in the bar at 1.00am. This is a great hotel, value for money but would benefit from a lift as I was allocated a room two floors up, but hey it wasn't that bad the reception staff did carry my bags up!!
I a great stay in a wonderful part of Glasgow.

Stayed here for a Christmas shopping trip in room 11, the premier room. The room was large with a king size bed and a sofa and a double bath sized jacuzzi in the bathroom. Room was clean except that the previous occupants had left behind some underwear hanging on the light fitting! So the cleaners could do with looking up when they clean the room.

Staff very friendly and breakfast was very good. Location is ideal - a few minutes walk to Byers Road which is full of bars and restaurants and to the clockwork orange subway trains to the city centre.

We paid £75 for a large room with a jacuzzi including breakfast, much better value than the chain hotels charging more for a bland room with no breakfast included.

We loved Glasgow itself, shopping is fantastic, people are friendly and some great architecture.

Last weekend stayed at Belhaven, 3 rooms for guests attending a family wedding in Glasgow. Have nothing but praise for hospitality shown to us - guests checked in early, at no extra cost, and generally so helpful when we needed ironing boards etc. Accomodation was most suitable and comfortable and breakfasts wonderful, everyone had a great weekend! Have passed on your card.

I have stayed at The Belhaven Hotel 3 times in the past three months. I meant to write this review earlier and have finally got round to it.

The Belhaven Hotel is situated in the trendy west end of glasgow, across the road from the Botanic Gardens and just round the corner from the amazingly cosmopolitan Byres Road (plenty of coffee shops, quirky and mainstream shops and of course pubs!). The Belhaven is on a major bus route for the city centre and is a 5 minute walk from the underground rail system. The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre is 5 minutes away.
Ideally placed for the west end or for the city centre.

The rooms I have had in The Belhaven have all been EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN, very well appointed and also very large. Each time I have arrived I have found all the staff very welcoming and extremely helpful, NOTHING was too much bother for them. The Belhaven has an AMAZING COOKED BREAKFAST available and is a great way to start the day. In the evening there is an intimate lounge bar where you can have a quiet relaxing drink or mingle with the other guests.

I have to travel to and stay in Glasgow at least once a month and from now on I will be staying every month at the The Belhaven Hotel, I have no hesitation in reccomending this GREAT hotel, I only wish I had used it before now and I wish I had managed to write this review earlier!!

I am pleased to say that I have never had a bad experience during my visits to The Belhaven Hotel and so to sum up;
