This hotel is a great find! A warm welcome and great service, enjoyable breakfast and comfortable rooms, all we required for our trip to Glasgow. We had read a report a previous report on room 15 and 16 and thought '' will be just our luck to get one of those rooms''.
On check in we were given room 16!! but although the stairs can be a bit tedious we found the room great. Small bathroom with plenty of fluffy towels, comfy bed , what I think is new furniture and digital TV which was great because it rained for 2 days we were there.
Well worth the £65.00 per night we paid

We choose this hotel mainly because of the good reviews and it was very close to where we were going for the evening. Unfortunately when we checked in we were told it was the top floor, you need to be very fit as there are many many small narrow stairs to climb. We were given room 16 there was one opposite room 15, it was tiny, the bathroom is the smallest bathroom I have ever been in, the room was clean but very old furniture and the television could be called an antique!!!! We would stay here again but only if we had another room, we were very disappointed to say the least. If booking please ask to avoid these rooms.

My husband and I have just spent 3 nights at the Belhaven Hotel and the customer service and friendliness of the staff is exceptional.
It is a little gem in the West End of Glasgow and so convenient for the lovely restaurants on Byers Road. We wanted to stay an extra night but they were fully booked. I did not take the name of the proprietor but he found us accommodation elsewhere on a last minute website and then booked it all for us. I was incredibly impressed with this standard of customer service.
The breakfast was delicious, yummy poached eggs just as I like them, but there was a full Scottish breakfast available which my husband really enjoyed.
This is a beautiful Victorian terrace building with fantastic high ceilings and ornate plasterwork.

This hotel will always be my first choice on visiting Glasgow.

I was attending a conference with a friend and stayed 5 nights in The Belhaven. We had a very spacious twin room with 2 double beds which were place opposite each other rather than the typical side by side option. The room was clean, comfortable beds, fabulous water pressure in the shower and nice furniture which looked to be new. A lovely cooked breakfast is on offer but after 3 days we could no longer eat in the morning but there was plenty of options available on the cold table. Great staff, david was really helpful with ideas for day trips and evening venues. If i' back in Glasgow I'll be back in The Belhaven.

This small hotel, in an attractive stone terrace along Great Western Road, is convenient for the West End as well as buses to the centre of Glasgow. We stayed five days while attending a conference at Glasgow University. The underground (Glasgow Subway) is 10-15 minutes walk away on Byres Road, which is also full of interesting restaurants, bars and shops. There is plenty of free parking in the terrace outside the hotel. However, until you understand the street layout the hotel can be a bit tricky to reach by car, not helped by the misleading map and sparse directions on the hotel's website. We had a large and reasonably comfortable room on the very top floor (60 steps up!). It was pleasant, though a bit sparsely furnished and could have done with some very minor maintenance. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok but not wonderful, with a choice of cooked options that could have used better-quality ingredients. In the breakfast room/lounge the hotel offers free and unrestricted wireless internet access, as well as a PC for those not bringing their own laptops.
