I stayed in the Ewington a total of 15 days, the first week i got a lovely room which was of a very high standard, with a view over the park. No complaints! Unfortunately the problem came when it was time for any meals!! On one occasion I had to wait apprx an hour for room service, and over forty five mins to get served in the restaurant!!! Both times I was told it was because a "tour" was in i.e a bus load of people! Being a paying guest i expect the same speed of service that their other guests recieved!! The last 2 weeks i stayed at the hotel it was much the same, apart from the fact that the rooms i was allocated were of a lower standard, both at the back of the hotel above the kitchens so i got woken up by noise each morning about six!! not fun!

We have just returned from The Ewington. Stayed for 3nights as it was near hampden park and we went to see Bon Jovi. Our overall stay was really good, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels provided. We would definately come again.

This is my second visit to the character filled hotel and we have already booked to stay again. The staff are polite and helpful and breakfast was a good kick start to the day. The place was very clean and tidy, full of character and history.

The rooms do vary considerably but good decor and spotlessly clean. My parents room wasn't as good but still clean and adequate(tatty and heard water pipes all night). Heating was a bit too warm but other than that a very good stay. We have already booked to go again in the Summer and at Christmas and I'll look forward to it.

Fantastic rooms with view of park. One with a four poster bed, the other was the demo room as featured on the brochure. Also had a single room which was cosy and clean.

Breakfast good as were the staff although one room was opposite side of hotel where there was no heating throughout the whole stay (2 nights). We did query it and were given fan heaters but not sufficient at Christmas in Scotland! Have already been back to hotel though and have booked for 3rd and 4th visits.

Well kept, traditional and nice location just out of town.
