“Pleasant champagne bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

We popped in for a quick drink and a nibble after some shopping in town

We opted for the champagne bar rather than the restaurant side and were greeted immediately by the very pleasant staff. We shared some prawns which at £8 were pretty good value with 8 very large prawns in the plate. Price wise for drinks pretty similar to any up market bar in town.

Nice surroundings as well with comfy couches to rest weary shopping legs.

“Atmosphere kicked in after lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Went here for a Saturday lunch. There weren't many people in so it was a bit quiet which was a shame as it is in a good location and looks like it can seat a fair amount of people. Staff were welcoming, food was fairly average but not bad. Did wonder where the basil leaves were in the insalate caprese I had for my starter though- looked more like rocket leaves or something. We had a good few drinks and cocktails then moved through to the bar area which really livened up about 5pm. I like the place; I like where it is and how it looks and the cocktails are nice even if the food is a bit average.

“Great Evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Having enjoyed the food and restaurant which Mediterraneo is on a few previous occasion. Having shopped till we dropped we went in for a meal. High quality of food and drink as ever and after dinner we went through to the champagne bar for a drunk before going home. A very enjoyable evening had by all.

“Surprisingly child friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We've eaten a number of times in Mediterraneo over the last few years so the great food is never a surprise. The restaurant is large and with a big glass frontage the atmosphere can be a bit lacking but the staff are really friendly and it's a great place for people watching. The thing that did surprise us was how welcome we were made to feel with our toddlers since they came along. The kids get half portions from the main menu but its easy in an Italian to find something they'll like and the chefs love an excuse to make pizza men!

“50 minutes to bring water to our table!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Very very poor service! Waited firstly 45 mins for first round of drinks then 50 mins for water! Once food was out no-one came near to ask if food was ok, no-one ever asked did we want more drinks! Food nice but overpriced! Won't go again.
