Cail Bruich is up there with the cream of Glasgow's eateries.
The standard of service is superb and the food is excellent too.
Recommended.

“Memorable Meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

A friend and I popped in last night hoping for a table. As we opened the door it was clear Cail Bruaich was buzzing. Every member of staff made us feel like extra special guests from that moment on. A table was found and menus arrived for the Market Menu together with a variety of tasty little bites followed by a delicious coffee cup of creamy blue cheese, apple and walnut. And we hadn't even started with our order! Everything we chose (mackerel and steak tartare to start followed by lamb and pigeon) was perfectly cooked and imaginatively presented with a perfect array of accompaniments. The food was excellent value. A really memorable meal - for all the right reasons. Well done, Cail Bruaich, we'll be back.

Hello Lulu,

Thank you for coming by and then leaving us a wonderful review. It sounds like it was a first visit that I hope is not the last. Thank you for all your compliments, I'll make sure they are passed on to the kitchen and front of house team so we can continue getting things right.

I hope to see you and your friend back again soon. If there's anything we can do please let us know.

“excellant 7 course tasting menu and wine flight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Though I've reviewed Cail Bruich in the past and we have frequently dined there I thought I'd just pop a short review on to Trip Advisor to say how consistently good this restaurant is. Yes we've had a bad lunch on just one occasion. We generally eat in the evening and often take the tasting menu. It changes sufficiently often to remain interesting over a year and our latest experience was amongst the best. The accompanying wine flight from what is a short but very good though moderately priced wine list worked well with each of the 7 courses. Great to have such a good restaurant locally.

Hello Roger,

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and highlighting our consistency. It's one thing that we strive for and also thank you for not judging us on that one lunch. We are only human, sometimes we get it wrong, but we aim not to and succeed in this the majority of the time.

Finally, thank you for being a great customer and dining with us repeatedly. When you are next coming by please let us know.

“Stunning taster menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Had the 7 course taster menu with my wife. I've heard others moan about the portion size, but thought they were just about right for 7 portions. The salted caramel ice cream and soufflé was simply to die for. Will go back on high days and holidays. Stunning food

Hello there MPG

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

I'm very pleased that you and your wife had a nice time with us and I'm pleased that you highlighted the portion sizes of our taster menu. It is a taster but we certainly don't want out guests to leave hungry! The taster in taster menu can sometimes put diners off so I thank you for that. Thanks again, and hope to see you again soon.

“Creative and colourful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Where do I begin? We came here for an early evening menu without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. We had no idea we were about to have an outstanding meal. First we had cocktails with cheese puffs. Then came an amuse bouche. We then had a veloute starter which looked like summer sun in a bowl. Followed by hake with seaweed potatoes and samphire which was petite but delicious. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. Then came dessert -mine was a pink, red and green palette of beauty that I gazed at in wonder. Raspberry sorbet, red fruits, green heart shaped leaves. My husband had cheesecake (mouse almost) with gooseberry compote which he said was delightful. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to a return visit. The chef definitely has a flair for presentation using seasonal ingredients. Go and experience it for yourself.
