I stayed at the Quality hotel last week and was very happy with my stay even though I stayed in a non-refurbished room. Together with me I had my mother, brother (12 years old), sister (10 years old), and a friend. We were all able to stay in the same room which had 2 double beds and a large rollaway bed.
The price for this room was only £66/night including breakfast for adults. As children stay for free there was a breakfast surcharge of £5,95/child.
The rooms are very spacious and has teamaking facilities in them. The bathroom is also quite big.
However, one of the beds was rather uncomfortable on one side as it had a bump in it. The interior design also left a lot to be desired as there were no paintings and the wall paper was very dull. However, there was absolutely no smell in the room as stated in earlier reviews.
The full authentic buffet style Scottish breakfast was excellent and filled you up for hours. Please note that the breakfast was included in the rate making the room rate a real bargain as breakfast alone for 3 adults would cost £35,85.
There is also a swimming pool and work-out facilities which are free for all guests.
The hotel staff was quite pleasent, letting us check out one hour later than we were supposed to.
I would recommend anybody on a budget to book the Internet room and breakfast rate on the hotel's home page which is about 50% of the full rate.
Please note that my review is based on the fact that I was able to get a very good rate. If only the full rate is available, I certainly would NOT recommend to pay over £100 for a non-refurbished room. In that case go somewhere else.
