“A lovely park for summer walks and see highland coos!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

As I am local to Pollok Park we go here a lot. It has lovely walks, gardens, Pollok House and the Burrell Collection. You can have a picnic at the side of the river of visit the tea room in Pollok house. They also have a lovely selection of gardens to walk round and a wee maze at the side of the house that young children love to run round. It is a great day out for all of the family or just a romantic walk. Make sure you go and see the Highland Coos too!!

“Great Museum located in Beautiful Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

Knowing one of the hortaculturist employed, I was lucky enough to be given a tour of the gardens and stables. The park is home to numerous Highland Cattle, and a great museum that holds art and furniture owned by the Burrel family. It was a great way to spend a day away from the busy schedule of touring Glasgow.

“Europe's Best Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

This award was given to lovely Pollok Park in 2008 ,a real breath of the countryside in Glasgow and an easy hop from the city centre. It's our local park and always glorious to wander through. The Burrell is excellent (and has a decent inexpensive cafe in a really nice setting). It can however get noisy during holidays and weekends due to the popularity of kiddy lunches, which served us very well when our own were small.
Pollok House always looks grand and the formal gardens are a joy.If you can get a cafe table outside it's lovely (scones are good) but if stuck inside the converted (nicely done) kitchens it is very noisy when busy, although food choice is nice.I often think - this is all free! - anywhere else there might be a charge but everything is just there to wander through and enjoy.Dear old Glasgow can't compete with Edinburgh's handsomeness but in my view, it knocks the spots off the capital in terms of its many lovely parks, this being the jewel in the crown.it has everything - woodland walks,an excellent museum,a National Trust country house, cafes, gardens, adventure playground,Highland cattle, cricket ground, river walks, ponds, even a small herd of roe deer.Great, great place for all ages groups all year round.

“Always a great day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Everytime I visit I find something new to enjoy in either the park, the house or the burrell. Its got great walks as well as plenty of opportunities for coffee and cake. The Highland coos are a big (really big!) highlight.

“Pollok House a must for William Blake fans.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Although the Nat Trust staff are inconsistent in their approach - some volunteers are fab unlike others - this is a great day out for art lovers. Go to Pollok park when the weather is fine and take a picnic, though the lunch in the Burrell is acceptable.
