I was very impressed but the size of the room. I got there last minute at a very busy time of year and for a fairly good price they gave us a HUGE room with a couch, 2 double beds, desk, mini-bar, tv etc. I was very impressed and I really recomend this hotel!

Had Christmas at this hotel and it was a huge disappointment. Food and customer service appalling, Have since received an email from manager that said 'Well no one else complained!'. Says it all really.

Really would avoid this place. Glasgow has a wide range of excellent hotels; this is not one. Food was terible and customer service non-existent.

I stayed at the Thistle Glasgow for one evening for work. I was dealt with politely by reception staff. The room was a good size and generally clean, although it felt a little dated and tatty. I'd have liked to open a window to get some fresh air into the room, but they were bolted shut. I popped down to the bar to get a light snack, and ordered a crispy duck salad with beansprouts and rocket. The menu really should have warned me that the whole salad was drenched in what I guess was a plum sauce - but so much so as to render the rocket unidentifiable. So I'd urge extreme caution when ordering food. The internet access is a complete rip-off - £15 for 2 hour wifi access. I just don't understand how hotels can justify these charges, and would recommend that anyone who stays here looks for alternatives. I did ask, but was very sceptical about the advice given as they just pointed me towards other high-charging outlets. Overall, the hotel was OK - but I don't feel that it justified the price and I can't help feeling that its out of step with modern times.
