I have been twice to the Royal Concert Hall, both times to see musical acts, the last being in March 2012 to see a Rat Pack Tribute. Very nice venue with fantastic acoustics providing good sound quality. Although an extremely different atmosphere from the usual venues in which go to in Glasgow such as King Tuts, the Barrowland Ballroom or the Academy due to this being all seated, it was still a great evening.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, directing us to our seats and there was also a bar for a drink beforehand. The Royal Concert Hall offers a wide variety of classical and jazz music as well as many others events, if looking for something different to do I would recommend this. Also I am lead to believe that students get £5 tickets to classical concerts, though don't quote me on that.
