“Ok but a bit overpriced.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

I like Mackintosh design but the price to look around the house was to expensive. Not worth it.
The grounds were ok and the cafe fine.

“Well worth a visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

A fascinating and very informative tour around this impressive reconstruction of the Mackintosh couple's house. Fascinating to gain an insight into the style of interior design and furniture in this context.

“Very special home - can't believe it was more than a century old”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I had been to the Mackintosh House several times as a student but was surprised to see its transformation recently (Recently refurbished in Sep 2012). The previous boxed up exhibition has been opened up to recreate the real home for Charles and Margaret. I could appreciate the beauty behind the art much more.

I have always been amazed by the design. It is so contemporary and yet was made more than a century ago! If you like Glasgow School of Art then you will love this more. However, our tour guide was quite shy so the tour did not flow that well.

The tour used to cost a few pounds but it is now free! Just need to book at the counter outside.

Great to see how Mackintosh and his wife lived and how the work came into the home lives. Very beautiful and worth a visit.
