Stayed here for one night in a fourth floor room. Although room was nice, it was too warm, which was meant an interupted night's sleep. No air con and could not open window due to outside traffic noise. Bed was very comfortable and linen very luxurious. Shower was amazing. Breakfast was also excellent with some nice choices. I was however slightly disappointed overall. There were no bathrobes in room, the TV had a green line through the screen, and lever for plug in bathroom sink did not work. All small things which added together meant it was not quite the 5 star experience was expecting. Staff we all very pleasant though.

This hotel is perfection. From the outset the staff are courteous, helpful and friendly. We booked a superior double room, however, when checking in we were told that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom suite! This was lovely - loads of space, spotlessly clean, separate lounge from bedroom, the comfiest of beds and everything to hand that you could possibly want. Breakfast in the morning was superb - loads of good quality food to choose from again served by very helpful and pleasant staff. No bad points at all to comment on and will definitely stay here again.

I live in Glasgow myself but stay here on regular occasions. Not only is this hotel in a perfect location for us but the rooms have never been a disappointment for size and amenities. The bathrooms and beds are amazing. The hotel itself is very modern and has a cosy, warm feel to it. We love the bar and restaurant inside as well. Will be staying again soon!

stayed here on a special price, evening meal, a cocktail each and our room for the night £99.00, had to pay for breakfast extra £12.95 each but that was the ok as the breakfast was really good and there was plenty to choose from, staff were really helpful and friendly, restaurant and bar staff were extremely efficient and also very friendly. The room was very comfortable & clean, bathroom had a really good shower with an array of toiletries, the only downfall was we had no view out of our window at all but we could live with that.

Stayed at the Malmaison for 3 nights on business. The room was a good size, quiet, and the bed was really comfy. Good sized bathroom with a proper sized bath (helpful as I am tall) with lovely toiletries.
The staff were helpful and very friendly. Great choices for breakfast and it was all really good quality. The hotel is in a quiet area but minutes from bars/restaurants, and about a 10 minute walk to the city centre.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

My husband and I visited Glasgow for a 2 night break. Stayed at Malmaison on night 2. I hadnt read any reviews before we stayed (I usually do but a friend had stayed and said it was nice and they did a good breakfast). We booked a superior room + breakfast. Our room was 453 and it was fine. I did struggle to think why the room was superior though - no iPod dock, small bathroom, no aircon etc... just lacked all the little touches that I would have liked/expected for the extra money. There were large windows so lots of light coming in. We had the window open to get some fresh air as no air con. Plenty of toiletries and big fluffy towels plus robes. The TV (not that I had gone to Glasgow to sit and watch TV...but it was on for a short while) is badly needing replaced. Outdated and picture rubbish. The bed was comfortable. Our room was to the side of the hotel and we werent disturbed by any outside noise during the night (it was a Wednesday so not sure if day of the week would have much to do with this). The staff were fine, no complaints, although on check in we werent told any of the details such as where breakfast was served, check out time etc.. had to ask for all these details. The decor in the hotel is quite nice but I read some reviews where it was mentioned that the hotel is gloomy and in need of some TLC - being honest I did actually think this myself. It does feel quite dark and tired. The bar is super expensive - £8.95 for a cocktail; plenty of places in Glasgow to get drinks cheaper! The breakfast was nice - fresh fruit, granola, yougurt, toast, eggs benedict with bacon - tasty. Check out is 12 noon so we didnt have to rush off. Its a good 10 minute uphill walk to get to the hotel from the centre. If you have heavy bags I would recommend that you just get a taxi from the station. Overall our stay was fine.

Room Tip: May be better to get a room away from the front of the hotel to avoid noise as described in other re...

This hotel is a converted synagog and it is lovely. The rooms were very nice and looked immaculate. I love the toiletries in the bathroom which are in generous quantities. The cleanliness of the room was excellent and the bedding was spotless. This has been my only experience of this chain of hotels and if this is the standard I will look forward to further stays.

We had an evening meal here and breakfast and it was really really nice. The staff were very knowledgable about the city and extremely polite.

If you are staying in Glasgow this is well worth considering.

Room Tip: This is located away from the hustle and bustle but only a few minutes walk into the centre.
