A truly exceptional hotel, five star in every way, especially the service. Extremely elegant, romantic and atmospheric. It can't be recommended highly enough.

We chose to stay at One Devonshire Gardens over Malmaison after reading reviews of both on Trip Advisor, and I can safely say that the positive reviews of One Devonshire Gardens certainly reflected the reality.
The hotel is stylish and comfortable - and the service is incredible. Our room was lovely and the bath was sooo deep!!
But the best bit of our stay was our meal at the No. 5 restaurant. I can quite honestly say that we have stayed in lots of hotels and visited lots of restaurants but this was my favourite ever! My main course in particular (fillet of beef) was superb!
I cannot reccomend this hotel highly enough and we will definately stay there again
We wanted to go to a top class hotel as we recently got engaged so after reading the reviews on this site we stayed at One Devonshire for two nights.
The room was lovely, four poster bed covered in deep purple satin,a bath to die for and shower. It was just heaven.
We ate at the hotel and were shown to the lounge before dinner and given canapes. It was so relaxing and there we chose our wine Rose champagne £65.00, highly recommend it.We were then shown to the dining room, large bright room with open fire. The meal was what i would have expected.
The staff were fabulous wether your a pop star, millionaire or joe bloggs you are treated all the same. Special mention to Katie (one of the waitress's) who made our stay even more enjoyable when she arranged for us to have breakfast sent to our room the next morning - THIS IS ONLY DONE FOR HONEYMOONS, well we did get engaged.
Only point that i was unhappy about is that there is no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and that if your room is in the reception building then to go to the restaurant you have to go outside and walk down the street which was freezing.
Wonderful staff and thoroughly relaxing.
One Devonshire Gardens - the best relaxation ever.
Just felt I had to write something about what my partner and I class as THE best hotel to stay at in the world.
We have recently had the pleasure to stay in some pretty great hotels worldwide:
Presidential Suite @ Sheraton On The Falls - Niagara Falls Canada
Westin Turnberry - Turnberry UK
To name a few. The hotels we have visited over the years are therefore not inferior in themselves but rather, they fade into insignificance compared to One Devonshire Gardens.
Let me just describe one dining experience (Not even an overnight stay):
We arrived @ 6pm - early for evening meal due to availability. Shown from the door, which was promptly opened for us, coats taken, and then shown into the drawing room. Drawing room is the main lounge/sitting area where you are ushered prior to sitting down to eat. Here you are offered perhaps canapes / apperitif and the wine list to peruse. Some time later you are brought your wine selection to view - not taste obviously.
For us, after 30 odd minutes, we were unhurriedly shown into one of the main dining rooms. From there followed the usual tasting of the wine, napkins unfolded onto lap etc etc.
The meal was fantastic, four courses - generally always a beautiful pre-starter, followed by coffee and petit fours in the drawing room following the meal. All in we left the premises after midnight. That is what I class as a relaxed, enjoyable meal.
The description above depicts our first time at One Devonshire. We have since been back many many times and cannot comment on how good this place is. With the addition of ROOM restaurant, who have taken over the space which Gordon Ramsay's establishment used to fill (Amaryllis), the mix between opulence with a modern twist is just right.
One Devonshire rooms are great, luxurious and cosy. Huge drapes and fine antiques. Only suggestion I would make is to opt for that little bit more expensive room when booking - it will pay dividends in the long run.
Forget the rest One Devonshire's the choice to make
Simply fantastic
We stayed for one night in September. Although a lovely hotel have stayed in nicer hotels. The room (upgraded~) was quite small and did not have proper double glazing. The bathroom was lovely. If you are looking for a romantic stay, this is ideal. Any other reason I would go for the Radisson.
