One Devonshire Hotel is wonderful! from the relaxing welcome to the four poster beds and a marble bath big enough for two, this is a hotel that does spoil its guests!

But (and there always is isn't there!) I won't rush back to the ROOM S bar the decor is lovely, mood lighting etc, however the cocktails weren't up to much and the staff did try, they were waiting tables and then trying to make the drinks! For a 5 star hotel as this, I do feel this was a let down! We weren't going into town for drinks as we had booked a meal at the Hotels ROOM restaurant, I feel that the skills of a real barman would have been a good idea!!

Overall was very pleased we gave One Devonshire a try!

The staff were excellent at this hotel and could not do enough for you. The hotel was extremely clean, and the room was exactly as expected.

Little touches like rose petals by the bath, and a signed card from the manager were nice. The gym was small but very nice.

However, we did have one small complaint- if that is the right word.
Coffee and tea were not provided for you to help yourself- which would be alright, except we were charged £3.00 each every time we wanted one. Considering how much we were paying for a room (without breakfast!), I would have expected coffee/tea to be complimentary.

Funny, we've stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the world but we laughed at the response we got each and every time we met locals in Glasgow and answered the question as to where we were staying.
Guess a few celebs like One Devonshire.
It got to be a joke, the response people gave us when we said we were staying there !

Beyond that, we really loved the hotel. Very beautiful large room. I loved the putter and automatic golf ball returner in the room.
Great giant bathroom. The room had a lovely smell lile cedar wood.
Breakfast was nice, served in the cute little room.

Byres road was where we headed each night. Had a lot of fun at the bars lining the road. Met lots of nice folks there.

Can't say I'd return to Glasgow again, since we were in Scotland to check out Sunday at the British Open, and stayed a few more days mainly because we wanted to relaxe at this great hotel. If ever in Glasgow, there is no place I'd rather stay than this great little hotel.

My wife and I stayed here 1-4 July and loved it. Another example of how using Trip Advisor paid off. The Staff was extremely professional and courteous, they could not have been better! Room service was prompt, as was drink service on the patio. Excellent help with directions, taxis, car reservations (they had the car brought to the hotel for us and arranged for us to drop it off @ the airport) and restaurant recommendations. Our room was a "standard" one (very large) with 15ft ceilings, canopy bed, wide screen/flat screen Sony TV, huge tub and couch/desk. Outstanding selection of soaps and bath products, robes, bottled water, cookies and fudge set out for you daily. Umbrellas, adapters and a fan were provided. In short, there was nothing the staff wasn't willing to provide or help us find - they were remarkable.

The building was gorgeous and felt like a very upscale B&B more than a hotel. Breakfast was served on white linen with prefect service.

It was somewhat pricey, but I absolutely got what I paid for. Not a single complaint - this place is perfect for couples.
