Much as we loved wandering round Glasgow, we found ourselves delaying going out to spend more time in this fantastic hotel. The staff were friendly, and seemed geniunely happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was immaculate, beautiful and comfortable. I would recommend spending some time in the Whiskey lounge in front of the roaring fire on a cold day. Much better than its counterpart in Birmingham.

We stayed a this hotel for two nights over a weekend whilst visiting glasgow for a concert. The hotel was fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted warmly and check in was done in the hotel's lounge in front of a roaring fire. Our room was only a standard one but the size equalled that of many superior sized rooms I have stayed in at other hotels. The huge walk in wardrobe and fantastic deep bath with gorgeous toiletries were excellent.

There was a huge range of magazines provived to browse through and we were given a paper outside our door each morning. There was a good selection of dishes at breakfast outside of the usual full cookend breakfast.

We also ate in the bistro and the food was lovely, service efficient yet unobtrusive. They made an effort to get us a table even though they were fully booked - yet we didn't feel hurried at any point.

An excellent hotel worth the expense - I would definitely go there again.

Just a beautiful hotel. Expensive but worth it. We booked one of the classic rooms for a one-night stay and it was enormous, with a separate downstairs bathroom (heated floors and two-person shower). Very tasteful and romantic. Would also recommend eating in the restauarant.

My wife and I stayed here in August for 3 nights. We were in Glasgow for our wedding. We stayed in the Belfour Suite. Put simply, this is the best hotel in Britain. If you can afford it and are looking for some serious luxury then this is the place to stay.
