What a fantastic place to eat! Celinos looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but once you enter it's clear that this is the real deal. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and benefited from two courses for under ten pounds, but would have happily paid several times that given the quality of the food. Probably the best lasagne I've ever tasted. Relaxed environment, friendly staff, great menu, plenty of options for the kids and an amazing deli that is hard not to be tempted by. Our first visit will not be our last to this gem of an Italian restaurant. Booking advised since it's reputation exceeds the number of tables available!

“Best Italian ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

It's a family fave and my favourite place

My fave is surf and turf. Ok it's expensive but well worth it. Meatballs are amazing homemade and fresh. The staff remember your names and are so welcoming.

Ok pizza aren't my favourite but still pretty good.

My family are Italian and we don't go anywhere else.

Worth a try as you will go back for more. Enjoy.

“A little bit of Italy on your doorstep if you live nearby that is!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

The deli! Oh the deli! Just to make clear its worth a trip to this cafe bar restaurant (3 in 1 can't be bad) for the deli alone. And since your there why not treat yourself to a wee bite to eat to put you in the right frame of mind when stocking up on all the goodies on offer from the deli (Oh the deli!). Anyway I can only add to the gushing sentiments of past contributors. Ambience is excellent. Food authentic and best quality produce. Not cheap, but not expensive given quality on offer. And just try to avoid the deli on your way out or way in for that matter. Go on treat yourself, your worth it. The owners and staff must be rightly chuffed with all the praise heaped on the for all their hard work. But this is one cafe that can get by without all the praise. The place is busy all the time. Best book ahead. Nothing to do with the establishment but parking can be a problem.

“Excellent Italian restaurant & deli”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

Four of us have just had an excellent meal in Celino's. Not a bad word about any course, other than that we were all tempted to have three courses each. All extremely tasty with reasonable prices and a very attentive and efficient waiting staff. The delicatessen is well stocked and the whole place well worth the trip out to Alexandra Parade.

“First rate Cafe Bar Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

Just had another great meal in this fab restaurant. Staff are the friendliest bunch of people you could come across......great to get staff that actually treat you like a real person with plenty of time to pass the time of day with you. Food is excellent value for money, although I have to agree with the person who did mention the ice cold tomatoes on the bruschetta......a minute under the grill would make a big difference. Yes, it is small but as far as I'm concerned that only adds to the great ambience of the place although it might make a difference if you wanted a quiet, romantic meal for 2!!! All in all this is a first class restaurant and also has a good delicatessen within the premises. Special mention to the "tall waiter with glasses" and his "grey haired colleague"....great waiters.....you both know who I mean!!!
