Really good hotel with small but stylish rooms.
Cool mood lighting and remote controls.
Normally pay just under £70 a night.
Bar area also stylish and staff are friendly.
There are also free films but I always forget to watch them and also free wifi.
A million times better than the Premier Inn which I sometimes stay in for the same price in Scotland.
Lovely thai place if you turn left out of the hotel and walk over the road past the traffic lights.

Room Tip: Courtyard room for a quieter night.... its an option when you check in

Sharp, modern, clean, minimalist and just what we wanted. If your staying in Glasgow and want a stay with a difference in the City and easy walking or tram distance for all attractions, then this is for you. Cracking areas for internet, chilling or grabbing a drink. Modern, quirky and well worth a stay.

As we were attending the Radio 2 Folk Awards (2013) we took a punt at the "CitizenM" Hotel.
We found the whole experience very welcoming. The Hotel is very innovative in it's approach to looking after it's guests , superb facilities with enthusiastic young staff and a very different layout.
Whatever you do, be sure to get Steven to provide you with a selection of his fab. cocktails !
Nearby car parks gave a great 24 hour rate when the Hotel endorses your car park ticket too.
We are Citizen M converts., will try out the London one next !

Beautiful hotel really quirky rooms - the shower in the room offers little privacy so make sure y our comfortable with whom your staying with!! Comfortable room with great selection channels ad films. staff on hand at all times and all seemed very friendly and helpful. Bar is really nice had a few drinks and was good. The breakfast offerec loads of options as in fruit cereal smoothies etc etc only thing i would say that the hot food selection wasnt great - only one type of saug was some kid of herb i think - i didnt like it but there was no others to choose from oh ad the 'hot' food could have been hotter! over all though it was very nice. Would def choose this hotel again.

I've stayed in a few hotels in the past, but citizenm in Glasgow was a new experience for me. Its very nearly the ideal hotel . . . very nearly . . .

Firstly, the good points. It looks great. Really beautiful design and stylish furniture strewn around the lobby and lounge, making them actual nice places to hang out in, rather than the bland ikea-inspired lobbys that you're normally greeted with. The rooms are beautiful, small but not too small, and the free WiFi and films on the huge screen are a triumph of common sense. The bed is enormous and comfy, and the shower is powerful and great.

The self-check in and out is a wonderful idea, meaning you don't have to deal with surly tired staff members when all you want to do is lie down. Saying that, there are always friendly staff buzzing around unobtrusively should you need them.

Getting rid of things that travellers don't need (sofas in rooms, service from the 1950s, interior design from the 1970s) and the introduction of things like free WiFi and films, well thought out spaces and self check in show that the chain has taken a proper look at what 21st century travellers want, and given them that, while cutting out the things they don't. Saying that, the continental design, as beautiful as it is, does need a few little tweaks to make it tailored to the British traveller, or at least, this traveller.

The lack of tea and coffee in the room was something of a shock. I know it would mess with the design, and its probably a little out of kilter with the design in the rest of the world, but come on, tea is a British tradition, and a modern kettle and a couple to teabags isn't a great expense, is it? Maybe I'm an outlier and actually no one drinks tea that much these days, but the ability to make myself a cup of tea, would have been welcome.

The breakfast, as lovely as it is, was not hot enough, and there didn't seem to be a toaster anywhere? Again, this belies a continental design which I'm sure has little need for toasters and hotplates, but we kinda like that sort of thing in the UK. Once more, a few little tweaks to the approach would make all the difference.

These downsides are minor, and really niggley, and certainly not deal breakers. The design and attention to the needs to the modern traveller are really impressive, and show up the lazy approach to hotels that has pervaded in this country for so long. I will stay here again in the future and recommend it to anyone coming this way. A couple of tiny mods would make this hotel the perfect stay.

Can't stay anywhere better in Glasgow for the price!
Central location is near to the bus and train stations, also within walking distance to all the major attractions.
Highly recomended but you need to stay there to see what its like for yourself.

I've stayed in Citizen M a number of times over the past few years, the last time over Christmas, and always had a good stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the city centre. The position is excellent and its easy to walk to anywhere in the city centre or get to the train and subways stations.

The hotel is advertised as self-services, and indeed I have checked in and out myself, but there have always been at least one member of staff on-hand to make sure everything is going well and help out if needed. In fact the staff are one of the pleasant surprises about the hotel, as there are often a number of them around the lobby and bar/restaurant area creating a friendly atmosphere. And over Christmas there seemed to be a permanent party including guests who were either travelling alone or at a loose end.

The rooms are small, but we have always enjoyed the womb-like experience which feels very homely. In fact we were once upgraded to a larger room which we did not enjoy as much as it seemed less characterful.
