Review is going to be slightly less detailed than it would have been as I ate there in July and have only just got round to writing the review!
We were visiting the comedy club nearby and my partner and I were tight for time to grab something decent to eat - or so we thought. Have walked past this place loads of times and always meant to visit but never remembered about it when we were hungry. After looking at the very reasonable early menu which runs till 6.30pm on a Fri & Sat we realised that at £4 for a starter, £8 for a main and £4 for a dessert we'd see if we could make time. Were met by a very friendly woman and we explained we were tight for time which she said should be no problem and she seated us.
It was only around 5pm so there were only a few other people in, isn't it strange though how some places can have a nice atmosphere with only a few people there? Love the decor, the feel of the place was nice, the service - outstanding. It was very friendly and quick (as we had specifically asked for) but not rushed.
The food was excellent, so much so that we couldn't limit ourselves to just a main course even though we had so little time - had to have a starter each too.
All in, I can't fault a single element of our visit. Cost, Food, Service, Atmosphere - all excellent. Obviously we were on the early menu and later dining at the weekend I would guess will cost much more but without doubt intend to visit again when we have more time to relax and enjoy this hidden gem. Seek it out!!
