“Fun night out with great food and entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

We went to Sapporo after recommendation and weren't let down. The restaurant is laid out with several hot grills with seating wrapped around. The hot grill is where the action is at. After initial drinks and food orders your chef arrives and not only masterfully cooks your meal, he also puts on a show, throwing and catching eggs, spinning knives and creating huge fire balls! We all loved it and the cheering, laughing and buzz around the place made for a great atmosphere.

Service is great, polite and prompt. Location is also ideal in the Merchant city. And the food... well it was great. We had the set menu which offers great value and choice.

I only have one small gripe... Body Hygiene of one bar staff member wasn't great - I know they work hard but work clothes washed daily, person showered daily and antiperspirant is not a difficult thing to expect and BO is not pleasant. A delicate situation for the Manager to address. Otherwise - we will certainly be back!

“Soo much fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Probably one of the best japanese food in places in Glasgow (1st being Nanakusas in Sauchiehall street!) only worth going though if there is a group going and get a booth so you get your own personal chef that makes the food infront of you and has many entertaining tricks up his sleeve-wont say anymore!

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Have been a few times for Birthday dinners and it has been equally amazing every time. Food is amazing, skill of teppanyaki chefs is incredible and extremely entertaining. Such a fun atmosphere, would recommend everyone to try it at least once.
Waiting service is a bit slow but apart from the the staff were very friendly.
If it's your birthday the chefs sing happy birthday and you get a free ice cream :) woohoooo

“Dinner and a show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

Im sure there are other restaurants that have the chef cooking as you watch and entertaining you at the same time. However this is the first one I've been too and it was great. There is no compromise on the food quality either. Not just a meal but an experience well worth a visit
