“IF NECESSARY, QUEUE - You will have no regrets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

A great find and perfect for Lunch or a snack. Bread, pastries and cakes all baked on the premises and they even roast their own coffee. Everything we had was first class and despite being really busy the staff were happy and helpful.

An absolute MUST if you are visiting the nearby Hunterian Museum and Gallery.

“Outstanding Mediterranean flavours where you least expect to find them”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Popped in for a late and leisurely Saturday lunch to find the place crammed, with a queue for a table. Just waiting inside enables you to enjoy the buzz of the place: seeing the kitchen in full swing, the delights from the deli counter, and a whole wall of unusual and exotic produce to pick up and consider for presents, treats, or simply today's essential purchases.

The themed platters for two - British, Spanish, French, or Italian - each laden with superb medleys of cooked meats, salamis, cheeses, fruit, pickles or antipasti, were the choice of the day, and were absolutely outstanding. No room left for desserts, but the coffees are all they're cracked up to be.

Thoroughly recommended.

“Best Coffee and Crumble”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

This cafe had been recommended to us but it was not until our last evening that we found this gem. As we had already eaten earlier we decided on coffee and crumble but wish we could have sampled the dinner menu. The ambience was excellent and cosy even on the busy Byers Road.

“Great lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

A short walk from Kelvinside museum or the Glasgow art gallery and the Machintosh house on Byers road. Excellent lunch, food and service, lucky we got a table on arrival others queued to get a seat so obviously popular, for good reason

“Quality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

My friend and I walked up Byers Road after the Good Food Show this year and was looking for a bar....we stumbled upon a few restaurants but when we passed Kember & Jones we were hooked, we just had to go in, was our cup of tea before we even sat down! We did have to ask if they sold wine first before sitting down but once we saw the Baked Goats Cheese with Onion Marmalade on the chalk board we were taken....sat down and had a very relaxed couple of hours with wonderful service and delicious olives and food......I even bought a beautiful recipe book for my sister's 50th birthday when I was there....time well spent!
