“Basic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Food was ok but overpriced for what it is.
There wasn't much service, and the place was cramped.
Toilets in need to refurbishment.
Basically, this place is about 5£ a dish too expensive.

“Great for vegetarians”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

I love this place because of the wide selection of vegetarian 'mock' versions of seafood. The mock prawns are a particular fave of mine (though I do wish they served them with more of a salad as they are lovely with cucumber) and there is a very wide menu overall.
The service can be a little brusque but I do think they get more polite the more you go - or you just stop noticing it!
It's a cafe style place so it's not designed for you to linger hours over your food, think of it as the Malaysian version of a greasy spoon.

“Delicious cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Really tasty food, a large menu and rapid service. The Tom Yam soup and Malaysian curries are the big highlights. The staff are a bit crazy but try to be friendly in their own crazy way.

Be aware that it has a distinctly cafe vibe so not the place for a languid evening meal with friends or a romatic date.

“Nice food but low key surroundings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

This is not somewhere I would normally choose to visit because it's more of a cafe than a restaurant and it's very basic inside.

I went in a group of friends and I found the staff very polite, patient and helpful when it came to choosing dishes.

The food was very nice but the presentation is rustic and they don't take bookings. Likewise, it's not a place you can sit for any length of time as they look for the table back quickly.

I wouldn't rush back, but would go if I was looking for a quick bite.

“Always delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Been here lots of times, dont stray too much from what I know I like on their menu, but its always fantastic food, and nice to have a pineapple pearl to wash it all down with. Service is fast and attentive, not always the friendliest but certainly not rude. Love it here, always happy when I leave!
