“Lovely place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

We ate here during a weekend visit to Glasgow. Lovely informal atmosphere and attentive and knowledgable staff who obviously knew their way round their own menu very well. I had scallops with belly pork to start, and the fish pie for main which were both delicious. We thought GF was excellent value for money and the only thing that let it down was the toilets which my dining companion said were well below par.

“Good quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

Being Scottish we expect quality when dining in a fish restaurant with access to fish from some of the best waters in the world. We were not disappointed by our meal. Scottish scallops done perfectly and lemon sole to die for. The menu is small and select which usually means fresh fish, which is certainly the case here.
The food is complimented by the excellent staff.

“Chippy lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

We were walking past at lunchtime and decided we wanted fish & chips, we just wanted a quick lunch so decided to go to the take away side of the restaurant. Great food, just what was needed at lunchtime.

“A real pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

Booked on the off chance whilst wandering round Merchant City. First up the welcome and seating were first class, waitress mad as a box of frogs, but in a really nice way! Chose Dog Point White SB, do not miss this wine. Starters were scallops and black pudding, seriously good, whilst she had salt and chilli squid, well cooked and plentiful. Mains we both chose a special of monkfish on a black pudding surrounded with chorizo, all came together brilliantly . Only blot was cheese board a bit dull. On the whole a real pleasure. Thanks to the staff.
