“Value for Monday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We went on a Friday night for a pre-theatre meal. It was tasty and goo value for money on the pre-theatre however the service wasn't the best. Although the staff were attentive, polite and friendly they were slow in serving particularly when it came to drinks. They also had paper table covers which is not something I would expect from a venue such as this.

“DONT USE A VOUCHER!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

this restaurant is usually very very good, but last night I went using a itison Glasgow voucher and the meal was the most underwhelming thing I've ever eaten, the set menu reserved just for voucher users was so basic and budget, we asked for our burgers to be medium but where advised they are all cooked well done (i suspect they where pre cooked and then warmed in the oven) and out comes hockey pucks in a bun.

really disappointed, especially when walking through the restaurant and seeing other diners enjoying proper cooked meals that clearly been cooked with passion because they weren't using a voucher.

there was also a distinct lack of any atmosphere with no music, just the sound of the real housewives of Glasgow cackling from the other side of the restaurant.

“Pleasant meal in comfortable surroundings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

As a party of eight on a voucher deal (comprising a limited choice menu, a glass of fizz to start and four bottles of wine), we were all set for an uncomplicated meal - which is broadly what we received. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was as expected for mid-week, after-office - so not too busy and not too raucous. The fish soup starter was pleasant enough, but with scant evidence of fish, whilst the steaks were a little tough and over-cooked; this despite the kitchen's attempts to simplify diner's choice by stating that there were only three options - well done; medium and rare! As my rare was medium, it clearly hadn't worked and I dread to think how over-cooked the well-done would have been... So pleasant enough, but nothing to draw me into a return visit.

“Great lunch and a decent price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Nice welcome and a nice table by the window allowing daylight in to read the menu. Decent choice and good value for money. Service was prompt but certainly not rushed. Good choice of reasonably priced wines. Will return soon

“Excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We dined at the Brasserie using 5p.m. Deals.A lovely old Glasgow building with style. A very well presented table , the only negative point was it was rather dark although little lights gave it atmosphere. The menu had a good choice with the soup getting approval from the other half, and the goats cheese salad being delicious. The in house burger and chicken dish were very good and for their chips ,a cross between croquettes and chips, terrific. Deserts a lovely choice also went down very well .The service was excellent , and at £19 plus you're drinks a place we will go back to ,,,,,,,,very soon.
